Condition Contract – Q & A · 05
What is the difference between CCM and gicom solutions for agreement management?

SAP CCM is strong in billing management. What it does not cover: the entire process upstream of the settlement – the agreement management. This is where gicom comes in.

What SAP CCM does

CCM covers the accounting management excellently: create condition contracts, record sales, calculate provisions, execute settlement, book FI. This is the core strength of the SAP standard in S/4HANA.

What CCM does not do – and gicom adds

  • Negotiation management: System-based preparation and implementation of condition negotiations with digital negotiating folder
  • Agreement documentation: Central, structured filing of all negotiated conditions as a single point of truth – with version history
  • Condition simulation: Play through scenarios before conclusion of the contract – relay discount, contribution margin, achievement of goals
  • Workflow & Approval: Multi-stage approval processes for agreements with escalation rules and audit trail

The result: real end-to-end approach

gicom closes the gap that leaves SAP CCM open. While CCM is excellent in the settlement, gicom covers the complete cycle: from the first negotiation and condition simulation to the documentation of the agreement to the last billing posting.

The gicom solutions run directly in the S/4HANA environment as SAP solution extensions – fully integrated without separate middleware or external systems.
